Bonjour Phil

The rollover feature is very visually impressive and what we Yanks call "A slick trick", but for those who wish to study a coin, a side-by-side view of images of both obverse and reverse is most convenient in order that one not have to keep going back and forth, rolling-over the image repeatedly to see various items on the reverse. Perhaps you could make it a selectable option with a radio box: "enable rollover / static, side-by-side views"? Alternately you might implement it as a "toggle" - when first rolled-over it would "stick" on the reverse image until cancelled by a second roll-over which returns to the obverse image.

Nice Start. Look forward to seeing how this develops. Really like the "coin of the month" concept....I'll keep coming by to see it.

It's a good start! I might suggest that when you get to having lots of coins in each category, clicking on a particular coin opens a larger photo (including data) in a new, separate window.
The exact hue of Yellow you're using is a bit hard on the eyes - at least on my monitor - but that's the sort of thing you'll get sorted-out soon enough.
Best of luck with your undertaking!
Mark
